Wedding: Amanda and Jim

This past September I had the privilege of coordinating the wedding day of two of my dear friends, Jim and Amanda C.  This wedding was especially fun for me as I had the opportunity to arrange the bouquets and boutonnieres for the bridal party as well as the flower arrangements in the church. From the candlelit ceremony to the whimsical touches of “shabby chic” pearls and lace in the reception, the wedding fit Amanda’s personality perfectly: gorgeous, serious (but only when absolutely necessary), and pink!

Her bridesmaids chose their favorite dress in various shades of pink (“blush and bashful, Momma!”) and carried bouquets of white hydrangea with white and pink roses. The groomsmen wore classic black tuxedos paired with simple single pink rose boutonnieres.

When she met her Prince Charming, our Southern Princess Bride wore a ball gown with a cinched waist, pick-ups that would make Cinderella jealous, and lovely crystal detailing throughout the bodice and train. She carried a large bouquet of green, pink and white hydrangea accented with pink roses. For the ceremony she donned a simple sheer veil at the back of her up-do. Her perfectly coifed hair traded out the veil for an impressive feathered flower tucked behind her ear.

It was such a blessing to work with Amanda and Jim on their big day! Thank you for letting me share in your joy!

The pictures below are by the fabulous Carrie Jo Frith. Check out her photography (especially her family sessions) if you’re ever in the Central Arkansas area. She was a blast to work with, super stealthy, and captured breathtaking shots of the day’s events. See a couple of my favorites below!
